Doctor in Gaza shows child in critical condition following Israeli attack

“I’m so sorry the world failed you, Zainab.” Dr Ali Al-Tahrawi, an
emergency physician at Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in central Gaza,
documented the devastating injuries treated in the aftermath of an
early morning Israeli air strike on residential homes. Many of the
victims were children, including young Zainab, who was in critical
condition with her intestine hanging out of a wound caused by the
Israeli attack.

Dr. Ali Al-Tahrawi:
“So, this is Zainab.
She is under ketamine effect. She came to us an hour ago after an
explosion. I checked for her family's house and we have been
waiting for the pediatric surgeon to come to the hospital because
this is the injury. Don’t be surprised. This is her intestine. And this
is Zainab. I’m so sorry the world failed you, Zainab. Fucking sorry.”
