“In this situation, honestly, I felt very confused and worried, and I immediately asked him, 'What happened? That's my son.' He answered me, 'Yes, I know.'”
Once, at the Sde Teiman detention facility, we had an officer, and there was also an officer in the neighboring ward. That time, I was speaking with the officer from our ward, and suddenly the officer from the neighboring ward arrived and said to me, “Come here, what’s the story with the kid you were looking for earlier, the one with the curly hair you were looking for at the hospital?” This happened in March, in the middle of March, meaning around the middle of Ramadan. It was still at the beginning of the detention period, after a month of detention. In this situation, honestly, I felt very confused and worried, and I immediately asked him, “What happened? That’s my son.” He answered me, “Yes, I know.” I told him, “Well, so what happened? Why did you ask me that?” I already thought something had happened to my family and that they had announced in the media that something had happened. Something like, meaning, I knew they could publish an announcement in the media like, “Such and such happened to this family.” So I tried to tell him, “Please just tell me what happened.” Afterward, I went to ask my officer. I told him, “What happened? Why did he ask me that question? What happened to my family? Did something happen to them?” And of course, he didn’t help me at all. He told me, “No, no,” and gave me nothing. I just wanted to understand what was going on, and of course, I remained confused this whole time. Meaning, it really started to destroy me. Of course, this was an attempt to pressure me and play with my mind.
