Dr. Mimi Syed: This is Dr. Mimi Syed. It’s December 28, 2024. I’m in one of the encampments and displaced people dwelling. It’s a water filter behind me or a water container that is supposed to be filtered. However, it is not, is highly contaminated with E-Coli and salt from the underground sea water. What’s situation is terrible as you can see behind me. There’s lots of trash and sewage all over the street. Where children are living. These are not conditions for living. These are horrible conditions, not compatible with life.
