Two American surgeons—an orthopedic surgeon and a trauma surgeon—who worked at Gaza European Hospital in Khan Younis in March 2024 describe unprecedented violence against civilians, especially children. They encountered young patients shot by highly trained marksmen and victims of powerful explosives causing severe injuries and infections. Despite their extensive experience with disasters worldwide, including 9/11, Hurricane Katrina, and the Haiti earthquake, they testify they have never witnessed such cruelty. They hold the United States responsible for funding and supporting what they define as genocide, and urge the public to oppose sending weapons to Israel until the siege and occupation end.
