Dr. Mohammed Mustafa, a Perth-based junior doctor, volunteered in Gaza in 2024 following the October 7 Hamas attacks and Israel’s response. He arrived to scenes of constant bombing, treating overwhelmed casualties including children with severe injuries. His emotional social media videos documenting the crisis gained global attention, as Israel had banned foreign journalists.
