Dr. Mohammed Qandil, the emergency director of Nasser Hospital in Khan Younis, said:
“Today is the 4th day of the escalation. We are in a very difficult situation. It’s catastrophic. It’s terrible. No words can describe it. We are working with the patients under mobile light only. We don’t have any ICU beds. Me and our critical care team, have expanded ICU beds many times. We are reaching around 40 beds. We are looking for anything available around. But now, zero ICU beds and the operation theatre is always full. Always we have a shortage. We cannot save more lives. If this happens any more, it means more kids, more children, more women will die and face death without any medical help.
